Retirement Series Part 1 - Shell Thank You Note Cards

Sorry this post is so late! I went on a fun field trip with my family today, so I got home rather late and forgot about posting until now. But it's up now!! :D

I made these fun note cards using my Gypsy (Gypsy Wanderings for the square shape) and the shell was from Life's a Beach. I made these fun 4x4 inch note cards for a retirement gift. Since you get a lot of gifts when you are retiring, I thought that someone who's retiring will need a lot of thank you notes, why not make them special. :) I will be packaging them up in a gift package tomorrow. So make sure and come back!

Close up of my stamping job. :) Stamp is from Pink by Design's Vintage Greetings set. I got the idea to make these cards from this post on the Pink by Design blog by Lisa. I hope you enjoyed this project and I hope you will come back in the next week for the rest of my retirement gift series. :) ~Emma

P.S. I have a giveaway going on on the Facebook Page for some vinyl from Vinyl Couture. Enter soon because I will be choosing the winner soon. Check out their website here or their facebook page here. ~E

The 1st Day of Christmas - Homemade Gift Tags

Hello everyone!! Welcome to the 1st day of Christmas in my 12 Days of Christmas event! ;) Today I am going to show you the gift tag design that I am going to use this year. I used a top-note shape that you can get from quite a few cartridges. I got mine from Gypsy Wanderings. The candy cane is from Christmas Cheer. I planned this out on my Gypsy to save paper. For the sentiment, I used a $1 stamp set from Michael's. Here is the tag design that I used last year:

For this tag, I used Tags, Bags, Boxes & More for the tag. The snowflake is from the Christmas/Noel cartridge. The stamp is from my stash of wooden stamps, so I don't know where I got it. :)

Also, my Facebook page just hit 75 fans! Woo-hoo! There will be a giveaway on there soon, so stay tuned! :) Until tomorrow, Merry Christmas! ~Emma

Shoe Card

Hi everyone! I bought some new shoes today and I decided to share a picture with you guys.

In honor of this purchase, I decided to share a card I made about a year ago when I first got my Gypsy.

True, I ordered flats, not high heels, but this is the only shoe card that I have made. :) I was testing my Gypsy out and got the shoe from Gypsy Wanderings pre-loaded cartridge. I welded the sentiment using Printing 101. Come back soon! ~Emma

My Angry Bird!!

Oh My Goodness!!! I can't believe that I designed this myself on my Gypsy!! This is a character from the oh-so-popular smartphone game... ANGRY BIRDS!! I made this from scratch on my Gypsy and managed to do it with only 3 cartridges! I used George, Gypsy Wanderings, and Create-a-Critter. :) If I can figure out how to do it, I will post my file. It needs a little tweaking, but that will have to wait until I make something with this. :) Just wanted to share this with ya'll! ~Emma

Pumpkin Scrapbook Page

Hello everyone!! I'm really excited about getting back into routine! I've really missed it. I made this scrapbook page for a picture of Halloween Jack-o-Lanterns. I used my Gypsy to weld the swirl (Storybook) and pumpkin (Gypsy wanderings) together. I used a pumpkin paper that I got at my local Hobby Lobby. I just used a pen to draw the faces on them. I think it turned out really well. The title letters are from Learning Curve. I was going for a fun look (versus vintage looks and creepy looks) on this page. My tip for fun looks? Use bright greens, oranges, purples, and black. :) I am loving how this page turned out. :D Come back for more soon! ~Emma

Sweet Cupcake Scrapbook Page

Here is project number two of all the projects of the day (not sure how many there will be). :-) Actually this is Challenge #1 of the day on the blog that I am getting my challenges from. I'm behind. They are already on #3 and I haven't started #2. Oh, well I will catch up. The challenge was to make something with a cupcake. See you guys in a little bit for project number 3 that goes with challenge number 2. ~Emma
