Crayon Wreath

Hello everyone! I finally finished my crayon wreath that I've been working on for a while. How did I do it you ask?

I used my Gypsy to cut two circles (one inside the other) to create a ring. This was cut with green cardstock and chipboard and these two glued together. All crayons were arranged in a rainbow of colors and hot glued in place. It's that easy. A simple ribbon is the hanger.

The crayons were bought on back to school sale super cheap, so two boxes of select colors were used. The double layer allows for a fuller, larger wreath.You could add school themed die cuts for an extra dimension. I was tempted to use colored tule for the hanger. But white ribbon from my stash easily worked.This is also a great teacher appreciation gift. 

One warning: the crayons will easily mark on anything in sight. I wouldn't suggest putting this on a white wall/door (I just used mine for the photo.) :D Hope you all enjoyed this!! ♥E

Muted Colors Masculine Card

Hey everyone! Hope everyone's enjoying their weekend and new year! I wanted to share a card I made that I never posted. This last summer I bought my first border punch and have been in love ever since. They are so much easier to use than decorative scissors. 

This simple card is perfect for the one male that is so hard to make cards for, but can easily be redone with a scalloped border punch, lacy ribbon, and a flower for a lady's card. 

For this card, I used the Binding Edge Punch by EK Success for the edge, Vintage Greetings from Pink By Design, and jute binding. The stars are cut from George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge.

For the star, I cut a larger brown star and crimped it for some texture.The green star adds another layer to the the card.

Tangled Birthday Card

Hello everyone!! Welcome back to KatelynCo! As you might have noticed, I haven't been posting lately. I have been super busy, and not much time to craft. But I have been doing a little more. I have a video to post later this week.

For this card, I used my Gypsy to create the tower. I simply found a tower on Happily Ever After, and recreated it using various shapes for my Gypsy (If you would like the file, email me at KatelynCo.EKS@gmail.com). I used purple ink to give it more dimension. I also inked the embossed background that I made using my Cuttlebug and Stylized Flowers folder. I hand-cut the banner and stamped it with Pink By Design stamps. The twine is Lilac color from the Twinery. The braid is made from regular craft yarn. I used a mini glue dot to stabilize it.

Froggie Birthday Cards

Hello everyone!! Welcome back to KatelynCo! I made these cards from inspiration of Leap Day. I made the square one below first. Then yesterday I was staring at scraps on my table and made another... just a different shape. :) I think these are some of my favorite cards ever!! :)

I used George to make the cute little flowers. The frog is from Once Upon a Princess and the stamps are from Pink By Design. I also used the Cuttlebug and D'vine Swirls folder. I am really loving this color combo!! Hope you all have a great day!! ~Emma

I'm back!!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to KatelynCo! I got sick with the stomach flu, so I didn't have a lot of ambition to blog or craft. :) But, I made two birthday cards for today's post. Did you see my button over on the right sidebar?? -----------> I just installed it. And it's available for grabbing! :) Anyway, here are the cards.

This one is a girl's card. I used my Gypsy to weld together the shapes for the card base. I also used my Smiley Cards cartridge on my Gypsy to make the cupcake. Did you know that that cartridge is available in the Digital Cartridges section of Cricut.com? That means you can use it in the Cricut Craft Room!! Back to the card. :) I used a Pink By Design stamp to make the sentiment. The twine is from The Twinery.

This card was really simple. I just took some cardstock scraps that I had and cut them for the layers and the base. The star was cut out of the same color as the card base. I embossed it with the Reptile Cuttlebug embossing folder to give it more interest. The stamp is from Pink by Design, again. :) And last, but not least, the twine is from The Twinery. :)

A Valentine's Recap

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone!! :) For today, I am going to show you most (if not all) of the valentines that I made this year.

I thought I would start with my favorite. A fun, flourish heart from Celebrate With a Flourish was the perfect cut to finish this card up. Here's its post.

I made this valentine while I was trying out the Cricut Design Studio trial version (I like my Gypsy WAY better). :) I didn't make a post on this one. The patterned paper is from Hobby Lobby and the stamp is from TPC Studio.

Here is my second favorite valentine. :) I made this without a Cricut cut; however, I did use my Cuttlebug. Seems like I can't make a card without Provo Craft products. :D Here is it's post.

Here is a different color-schemed card. I used my Cricut on this one. :) I really like this stamp cut and will most definitely be using it again. :D Here is its post.

Here's the last one. I made this one to try out my Pink By Design stamps. I love the little 'angel heart'. ;) Here is it's post from July 2011. :D

Simple yet Elegant Wedding Card

Hello everyone!! Today, I wanted to share a wedding card that I made. It was so simple to make. I used silver glitter paper from Die Cuts with a View Glitter Stack. The patterned paper is just white paper stamped repeatedly with silver ink. The rings were just cut in gray paper and I used a burgundy (to match the base) marker to color the ribbon. I also used glitter glue to make the diamond stand out. I can't remember where I got the sentiment stamp. :) I hope you all have a great day and I hope to have inspired you today!! ~Emma

Another Birthday Note Card Set

This one included my card from yesterday, my teacup card, my purse card, and another card that I never posted. :) For this topper, I used the Cuttlebug folder Seeing Spots. For the stamp, I used Pink by Design's Vintage Greetings (did I mention that I REALLY like that stamp set??? :D). The twine is Caribbean from The Twinery. Colorful Hawaiian Card

Hello everyone!! Welcome back to KatelynCo!! :) Today I wanted to share a card that is perfect for mailing to those people that are not winter people and go to warm, exotic places to spend those 3 cold months. :D I actually had a ton of fun with this card. I was inspired by this card from Robyn (aka My Pink Stamper). It turned out to be quite a bit more tweaked than it originally was going to be. I used George and Basic Shapes to cut the pretty pink flower. The Cuttlebug folder is Seeing Spots. And the stamp is from (you guessed it) Pink By Design's Vintage Greetings. Birthday Note Card Set

Hello everyone!! Thanks for joining us this lovely Tuesday. :) Today I made this note card set. I used my Razzel (by Mr. Cricut Crazy) for all of the cards (this pack has a doggie theme). For the cards, I used three cards that I have posted already (here, here, and here). I had already mailed the purple with flowers doggie card in one of the posts, So I made a look alike to bring the number of cards in the pack to an even four. For the topper, I used different cardstocks that I had. They are cut slightly unevenly for a slight touch of fun. The 'Birthday Wishes' is from Pink By Designs Vintage Greetings. The flower was cut from George and Basic Shapes. The twine is Honeydew and Peapod from the Twinery. I hope you enjoyed this project and I hope you have a great day!! ~Emma

'Welcome Little One' Popcorn/Favor Box

Yesterday on my Facebook Page, I shared this sneak peek of what was to come today. Well, are you ready to see???? :)
I made this adorable little popcorn box to be used as a favor/candy/anything else you can think of (LOL!!) box. I am spotlighting in this project Pink By Design Stamps, Glitter Paper from Die Cuts with a View, and twine in the colors Blossom and Caribbean from The Twinery.
I cut it at 5.5" from Tags, Bags, Boxes, & More Cricut cartridge. cut the white circle at 1.75" from George and Basic Shapes and inked it with pink ink. I then stamped my sentiment in brown ink. I used 2 scalloped circles from Mini Monograms (cut at 2"). I adhered one flat on the box, the other is pop-dotted above it.
For the twine, I just used both colors and tied a little bow. :) Super simple!! I tried to keep this project so that it could be used for either gender. You could also switch the colors for a different look.

Do you notice anything different on my photos? That's right!! I purchased a watermark!! I love how subtle it is, yet it marks the picture as truly mine. :) I purchased it from DPNDSUDIO on Etsy. Here is the listing for the water mark that I purchased. I am extremely happy with it!

The 7th Day of Christmas - Gift Idea! Note Cards

Welcome to the 7th day of Christmas! Yesterday I shared a video of how to seal gifts in a bag. Today, I'm showing you what cards look like sealed.

I made these cards for a gift exchange I was in. I cut the hearts from George and Basic Shapes Cricut Cartridge. The patterned paper is from the Boho Chic stack. The pink cardstock is embossed in the Cuttlebug using the Polka Dot folder.

I sealed all 4 cards in the bag and topped it with basically the same design, just flipped. I hope you've enjoyed this day of Christmas and come back tomorrow for more! ~Emma

Episode 4 - Puppy Card with Mr. Cricut Crazy stamps

New Post! Doggie Cards

Hi everyone! I'm so sorry that I haven't posted in a while. I was planning to yesterday and I ran out of time. :) Any way here is my project for today. I got my first set of Mr. Cricut Crazy stamps. I got the stamp set Razzle. For my patterned paper I used Die Cuts with a View (DCWV) and The Paper Company (basically Hobby Lobby company). The striped paper is from DCWV Flower Power stack. The flower paper is from The All Seasons II paper stack. I used leftover ovals from this project to stamp the dogs on. I was mass producing those cards and made extra ovals. :D I am really liking these cards. I'll be back soon with another project. :) ~Emma

My Angry Bird!!

Oh My Goodness!!! I can't believe that I designed this myself on my Gypsy!! This is a character from the oh-so-popular smartphone game... ANGRY BIRDS!! I made this from scratch on my Gypsy and managed to do it with only 3 cartridges! I used George, Gypsy Wanderings, and Create-a-Critter. :) If I can figure out how to do it, I will post my file. It needs a little tweaking, but that will have to wait until I make something with this. :) Just wanted to share this with ya'll! ~Emma

Cute Pug Card

Hi everyone!! I thought that I would share a card that I was commissioned to make. The lady that wanted these cards has an adorable little pug and I decided to draw my inspiration from it. I used George and Basic Shapes for the oval. It was cut at 3 inches. The brown stripe is cut at 2x5.25 inches. The bone paper is from Hobby Lobby and is cut at 5.5x8.5 and folded in half to make a 4.25x5.5 card. The stamp is from Pink By Design's Vintage Greetings stamp set.
