Retirement Series Part 4 - Shell Congratulations Card

Here's the last part of this series. Here is the card that I made to actually give to the retiree. :) I made it to sort of match the note cards that I made and the packaging. They have the same shapes, the same embossing design, the same stamps, the same colors. The only thing different about this is that I added some white dots, which I may add to the packaging. :) I hope you have enjoyed this series on gifts. Retirement Series Part 3 - Shell Thank You Note Card Envelopes Packaging

This is the 3rd post in my shell gift series. Yesterday I posted the packaging for the note cards which was a difficult job because they were so thick. Then I got the light bulb over my head. I decided to package the envelopes separately. I just included a note in each package. The one with the actual notes says 'Envelopes in separate package' and the one in the envelope package says 'Envelopes for thank you notes'. I used almost the exact same packaging. I just flipped some colors around. ;)

Retirement Series Part 2 - Shell Thank You Note Card Gift Packaging

Hello everyone! Welcome to KatelynCo! If you remember from yesterday's post, I posted a set of thank you note cards that I will be giving for a retirement gift. Today I am going to show you how I packaged those up.

I used the same color scheme that I used for the cards so that it would tie everything together. I used the same cut and everything. For the blue strip, I Cuttlebugged it using D'vine Swirls. I also used Pink by Design's stamps again. :) I really love those. :D

Here's a little closer look at my stamping/Cuttlebug/die cutting job.

I did run into one little problem. The cards with envelopes were too thick to fit into the bag. I would get them all in, but then I couldn't staple it like I usually do (check out this video to see how I put these together). My solution? Take out the envelopes and package them separately. See that post tomorrow. :) I still had trouble though, so I put a strip of ATG tape inside the bag to hold it together temporarily.

Retirement Series Part 1 - Shell Thank You Note Cards

Sorry this post is so late! I went on a fun field trip with my family today, so I got home rather late and forgot about posting until now. But it's up now!! :D


I made these fun note cards using my Gypsy (Gypsy Wanderings for the square shape) and the shell was from Life's a Beach. I made these fun 4x4 inch note cards for a retirement gift. Since you get a lot of gifts when you are retiring, I thought that someone who's retiring will need a lot of thank you notes, why not make them special. :) I will be packaging them up in a gift package tomorrow. So make sure and come back!

Close up of my stamping job. :) Stamp is from Pink by Design's Vintage Greetings set. I got the idea to make these cards from this post on the Pink by Design blog by Lisa. Pink By Design Sympathy Card

Hello everyone!! If you remember a while back, I created a card for a request that I had gotten. Well, I am entering to be on the Pink By Design Design Team. So, I used Pink By Design's Vintage Greetings set to create this card. The shell is from Life's a Beach Cricut Cartridge. The paper is from Boho Chic stack by Hobby Lobby.

In Sympathy Shell Card

Hi everyone!! I am really sorry that I have been posting a lot on Facebook, but I have been trying to get Think Pink week off the ground. :) So if you all who will be checking my blog during that time will press the 'I'm attending' button on the event, that would be fantastic. I wanted to do this card again (if I have done it already), because I love how it turned out. I created the french curve template and used my Cricut for the shell. Beach Scene Card

Hello everyone! Sorry that it has been so long since my last post. On Saturday I set up my digital frame in my room with pictures of my cards. It makes me think of the people who I sent or sold them to. I will post a picture tomorrow. On to the card. I made this for a relative who loves the beach. I thought that the tag with the word 'DREAM' was the perfect touch. She said it was almost fit to frame. :) That is a compliment. ~Emma

In Symapthy Card

This sympathy card was a special request card. I was requested to have a "boring card with 'In Sympathy' on it". I will have to make a confession. Sympathy cards are my bad spot. But I made it through this. The gray French curve is hand cut using a template that I made my self. I used a subtle patterned paper from Hobby Lobby which made the whole card look much better. I was planning on using a different shade of cardstock and putting it through the Cuttlebug. But this turned out much better. The sentiment is computer generated. I was planning to do a whole shell, but the outline looked really nice so I just used the outline instead. I hope you enjoyed this post and keep coming back for more and more cards! ~Emma
