Little Prince Blog Hop Day 2 - Cowboy Card

Now, on to my project for today!

For this card, I used the Smiley Cards digital cartridge and Create - a - Critter. I used this cute cowboy cut from Smile Cards. Inside my card, I used a sheriff's star cut from Create - a - Critter to add something to the inside.

For my patterned paper, I used a stamp that I made myself (see this video) using Create - a - Critter. I just used VersaMark ink with it to create my own patterned paper.

For my sentiments, I used Pink By Design's Vintage Greetings.

My cute fiber is just a jute type fiber to mimic rope.

This card was made for a 15-year-old, but would work perfectly for any age boy/man.

I'm back!!

Hello everyone! Welcome back to KatelynCo! I got sick with the stomach flu, so I didn't have a lot of ambition to blog or craft. :) But, I made two birthday cards for today's post. Did you see my button over on the right sidebar?? -----------> I just installed it. And it's available for grabbing! :) Anyway, here are the cards.

This one is a girl's card. I used my Gypsy to weld together the shapes for the card base. I also used my Smiley Cards cartridge on my Gypsy to make the cupcake. Did you know that that cartridge is available in the Digital Cartridges section of Cricut.com? That means you can use it in the Cricut Craft Room!! Back to the card. :) I used a Pink By Design stamp to make the sentiment. The twine is from The Twinery.

This card was really simple. I just took some cardstock scraps that I had and cut them for the layers and the base. The star was cut out of the same color as the card base. I embossed it with the Reptile Cuttlebug embossing folder to give it more interest. The stamp is from Pink by Design, again. :) And last, but not least, the twine is from The Twinery. :)

Back to School Scrapbook page

Hi everyone!! Since it is so close to fall/the end of summer/ first day of school, I thought that I would make a scrapbook page. I even have a photo in mind for it. The photo would go on the notebook paper page. I planned all of this out on my Gypsy, so I'm not positive of the sizes.

Star paper - All Seasons II sack from Hobby Lobby
Notebook paper - regular school paper :)

I plan to add journaling by the pencil. I personally LOVED making this layout and I hope you enjoyed it too. Birthday Girl Scrapbook Page

So today is a very special day in the crafting year. Today is (drum roll please!).....National Scrapbook Day!!! National Scrapbook Day is held on the first Saturday of every May. National Scrapbook day is not just for scrapbookers. I will do some posts with cards, mini albums, etc. Today there will be several posts. So I thought to start off the day I would show you a scrapbook page. I loved last year's National Scrapbook Day (it was my first year participating). So here is my page that I created.
